About Dominique

Dominique Christine is a multi-faceted Dutch creative professional currently building a hybrid career as a musical-theatre performer (actor-singer-dancer), certified IVA voice teacher, and biomedical scientist-turned-entrepreneur.

She holds a BSc & MSc (cum laude) in Biomedical Sciences (specializing in Developmental Biology & Oncology) from Maastricht University, and has worked in immunology and clinical genetics research at Maastricht UMC+ and later at Medtronic as a research and informed-consent specialist.

In her late twenties, she made a bold career shift: quitting a secure medical career at age 28 to move to London with two small children to study Musical Theatre at the International College of Musical Theatre (ICMT), completing semesters in London, New York, and Hamburg. This marked the beginning of a new chapter where she began merging her scientific understanding of the body and voice with her passion for performance, storytelling, and human connection.

Today, Dominique runs Dominique Christine Vocal Studio, where she teaches a growing international community of singers through both private lessons and signature online programs such as RESET, RELEASE, and the 14-Day Vocal Transformation. Her work bridges voice science, somatic release, and performer psychology, helping artists release tension, regulate their nervous system, and find freedom in their voice and artistry.

Her unique approach integrates myofascial and osteopathic techniques, somatic breathwork, and evidence-based vocal pedagogy (drawing from IVA, Estill, and CVT methodologies). She is currently developing her signature methodology — RELEASE — which blends these tools into a holistic framework for “tension-free vocal freedom.”

Dominique’s scientific curiosity and empathy underpin everything she teaches. She regularly references current research, combining it with her own lived experience as a performer who has personally overcome vocal limitations caused by jaw, neck, and tongue tension.

Her content features clear anatomical visuals and practical daily release routines that are approachable, effective, and grounded in evidence.

She is also building a robust personal brand and entrepreneurial ecosystem under the name Dominique Christine, which includes multiple revenue streams — online courses, memberships, and in-person sessions in the Netherlands — as well as creative projects that merge her love for art, science, and storytelling.

Beyond her teaching, Dominique is active in the Dutch-German-UK performing-arts scene for musical theatre, TV, and film.

Her long-term mission is to help performers stop doubting themselves, release vocal and emotional tension, and finally feel good in their voice, their body, and their career - creating a new model of performer education that is both scientifically grounded and emotionally human.
